Our kits help you create personalised, modern samplers and beautiful embroidered pictures. They’re simple to use and exquisitely made.
To us, framing is as important as the piece you stitch. We have worked very hard to develop a frame that perfectly complements the circus performers. Using a Victorian method of painting the inside of glass with many thin layers of enamel, we create a decorative glass-painted mount. The painting on the inside of the glass creates a wonderful deep glossy look.
The frame has then also been decoratively painted in the same colour scheme to add another layer to the piece. The glass used is a very high quality art glass which is anti-reflective and UV protective. For these kits, given the amount of texture in the work, it feels crucial that you can see it clearly without any reflections.
Each frame takes a day to paint, applying up to 10 layers on the inside of the glass. Due to this we have a longer lead time on these frames. We will place orders with the framers at the start of every month for the frames ordered in the previous month, and they will then be painted over 8-10 weeks. For example, if you place an order on the 15th, the 8-10 weeks will begin from the 1st of the following month.
Sadly as the glass is fragile and we cannot risk breakage of pieces which have been painted, we can only ship these frames within the UK.
As with all our frames, these ones will come with full mounting kits so you can finish your embroidery and have it ready to present.
