Our studio talks are virtual sessions covering everything from the creative process, to folk art, to interviews with other artists, to the nitty gritty of running a small business. The sessions take place virtually via zoom, and will take the form of a 40 minute talk followed by 20 minutes of discussion. Each live event is recorded and will be made available to all studio members after the event.

Meg Fatharly is a multidisciplinary artist, creator and teacher. Working primarily in the mediums of collage and printmaking, her work explores everything from  the everyday life, interiors scenes, through to reflections on the trials and tribulations of life. In addition, Meg shows great honesty and vulnerability on the realities of being an artist and running a business. Being an artist is often romanticised whereas sometimes the day-to-day experience feels a long way from the instagram vision. So in this talk, both Meg and I will discuss the idea of finding a balance.

We will explore the idea of finding balance in the day-to-day, finding balance through diversifying our sales channels and balance to maintain the love of what you do! For any budding creatives, those thinking about starting their own venture or a creative looking for comfort that you are not alone - this is the talk for you!

We are offering two sign up options: As with all studio talks, studio members can sign up for free, or alternatively for none studio members, for this talk you can buy a slot for £10 and the sales from those tickets will all go directly to Meg.

Once you have signed up will be sent an email ahead of the event with details on how to join.
